What we make, and how.

Brand strategy and identity, web design and development, art direction, packaging and editorial design, and creative direction. Most projects combine two or three of these.

Brand strategy & identity

We start by writing down what the brand believes and who it is for, in plain sentences everyone on your team can repeat. That becomes the brief for everything visual.

From there we design the identity as a system rather than a logo: typography, colour, layout rules, image direction and tone of voice, tested on real applications before anything is signed off.

Typically includes

  • Brand workshops and positioning
  • Verbal identity and messaging
  • Logo, wordmark and symbol design
  • Typography and colour systems
  • Brand guidelines and asset libraries

Digital design & development

We design websites and digital products in the browser as early as possible, so motion, type and layout are judged at real sizes on real devices.

Builds are accessible, fast and structured around the content you actually have. We hand over a system your team can extend, not a set of fragile pages.

Typically includes

  • UX structure and content design
  • Website and product interface design
  • Design systems and component libraries
  • Front-end development
  • Accessibility and performance reviews

Art direction & campaigns

Good art direction makes a brand recognisable before anyone reads the logo. We set the visual rules for photography, casting, styling and composition, then direct shoots and edits.

For campaigns we develop a single idea that can flex from a large poster to a six-second social cut without losing its voice.

Typically includes

  • Campaign concepts and scripts
  • Photography and film direction
  • Styling and set direction
  • Out-of-home, print and social assets
  • Launch toolkits

Packaging & editorial

Packaging and print are where a brand meets someone's hands. We work closely with printers and manufacturers from the first sketch, choosing stocks, finishes and formats that suit the product and the budget.

For editorial work we build typographic systems that make long reading comfortable and give each issue or edition room to be different.

Typically includes

  • Packaging structure and graphics
  • Label and range architecture
  • Book, magazine and report design
  • Print production management
  • Editorial grids and templates

Creative direction & consulting

Some teams already have designers and need direction more than production. We join as an external creative director for a fixed number of days each month.

That can mean reviewing work, setting the visual direction for a launch, writing briefs, or helping you build and hire your own design team.

Typically includes

  • Ongoing creative direction
  • Design reviews and critique
  • Brief writing and agency selection
  • Team structure and hiring support
  • Brand governance

?Questions

Scope, budgets and support.

We have a small budget. Is it still worth getting in touch?

Often, yes. A smaller budget usually means a more focused scope, such as a core identity rather than a full system, or a well-made single page rather than a large site. Tell us what you have to work with and we will be honest about what is possible.

Can you work with our existing brand or in-house team?

Absolutely. Some of our favourite projects extend an existing identity or support an in-house team with a specific piece of work, such as a campaign, packaging range or website. We will look at what you already have before suggesting anything new.

Do you offer support after launch?

Yes. We can provide guidelines, templates and training so your team can use the work confidently, and we can stay on for ongoing design support. We agree the shape of that support near the end of the project, once we know what will be most useful.
